Greetings Sledders,
We got 4+ yesterday along with some hefty winds.
Everything was groomed yesterday and into last night and the trails are good to very good. Probably the best that I’ve seen in a number of years.
There was significant drifting in the clear cut and open areas which provides for an opportunity to be amazed at the amount of snow these tractors will simultaneously push and pull and not break a sweat. Instead of relying on the drag to bust up the drifts which can sometimes lead to a mild roller coaster effect, we drop the 10ft wide blade and do some old fashion drift busting. It’s the most fun you can have in these tractors while being fully clothed.
It’s anybody’s guess as to what affect the warm up will have on the trails although traffic will be much lighter than last weekend and that should help a little and there’s a ton of base to eat through before a total breakdown occurs. Let’s hope for the best.
Ride Often and Please Be Safe,
Keith, Sandy and The Kids
