The AVSA’s grooming equipment and operating costs are funded through three main sources:
- DNR Snowmobile Program funds
- AVSA membership fees and donations
- Map Sales – “Grayling Area Recreation Map” — available at local businesses or from the Grayling Visitors Bureau
Beginning in the 2009-2010 winter, the AVSA is using the following grooming equipment:
- John Deere 7830, with tracks, Dubie drag, acquired in 2008 season
- John Deere 7830, with tracks, Sur-Trac drag, acquired in 2010 season
- Ford 7312, Arrowhead drag, acquired 10+ years ago and off-program
