Greetings Sledders,
In the last report I committed to a report that was to come out on Friday. There’s no reason to wait. The weather sources that we rely on all seem to be in agreement that something good is about to unfold in terms of snowfall over the next few days.
Temps today and tomorrow still look to be above the freezing mark. However, abundant cloud cover and light and variable winds will hopefully keep any trail damage to a minimum.
Then comes Saturday. Snow is forecast to start falling in the early morning hours with a general 1-3″ expected followed by a brief lull in the action and snows will pick up again during the early afternoon hours with 5-8″ of additional system snow. Hopefully my writing about this won’t cast the proverbial broadcaster’s jinx and it will actually happen.
Thought you might like some details because driving Saturday afternoon may become a little dicey.
Trails were groomed yesterday and continue to be fair to good. The fair part is due to the limited areas where grooming sins are evident which translates into a touch of snirt. Again these areas are limited but I feel that they must be called out as fair, aside from that we were pulling decent amounts of snow.
This appears to be a very nice weather set-up and should offer some great system snow riding. Your challenge may be getting here and our challenge as groomer drivers may be keeping guys in the seat and paving this in as it falls. Good challenges to have.
Ride Often and Please Be Safe on the Trails and on The Roads,
Keith, Sandy and The Kids
