Greetings Sledders,
Hang with me while I see if I can remember how to post a report, it’s been awhile.
We are finally getting some snow. Not enough at this point to fire up the groomers to start anew on the trail building process although if the weather forecast plays out in our favor we could conceivably be back in the driver’s seat along about Sunday. We’ll see. Like most of you somehow I’m not overly optimistic.
I was thinking the other day, most likely last Tuesday as that is the day that I usually put in reserve for that type of activity so Tuesday is a pretty safe bet, anyway it occurred to me that in year’s past when we encountered short little lulls in winter action like this recent month long sabbatical, that my Big Fat Buddha Buddy Pete and I would talk about serious Spam consumption and it occurred to me that I can no longer participate in that endeavor because one of the by products of getting older can be a low sodium diet. Hell I can’t even go broke without some sort of health restriction coming into play.
So far we’ve picked up about 3-4″ of Lake Effect which , as you know, resembles snow in that it is white and cold, it doesn’t do us a lot of good as far as trail improvement goes but we will certainly take it. There is an open ended order for system snow and it looks like we could get some of that on Saturday, the professional prognosticators are calling for 3-5″ and we could get more LE between now and then.
If you say screw it I’ve had enough and the neighbors are sick of your revving and you’ve just got to go, be aware there’s no base and there will certainly be ice so please be careful.
The trails continue to be shot and I wouldn’t ride on em’ but then again I no longer ride cause I’m getting old.
Will update on Monday and let you know if we were able to get going again.
Ride Often and Please Be Safe,
Keith, Sandy and The Girls
